Read Across America & Dr. Seuss' Birthday

This occasion celebrates the importance of reading on a daily basis.  With that in mind, we are offering incentives to encourage students to read more.  We are leaving it up to you, the classroom teacher to think of a way to reward students for their reading efforts. If your class utilizes reading counts, and you want to use points, just let me know and I will pull that up for you. Other ideas are reading logs or a basket where students can drop in their name and the book they read for a classroom drawing (You know what works best for your students).

We will supply 2 prizes per classroom (posters, paperbacks, buttons) for your highest achievers (based on your criteria).  

This contest can begin as early as Monday, February 2nd and the winners will be rewarded on morning announcements on Dr. Seuss's Birthday, March 2nd.
